Deep thoughts from Bayley...

So here's my conversation with Bayley as I'm tucking her in tonight.

Me: I don't really see you playing with your barbie dolls very much. Are you not really into them anymore?
Bayley: Not really. It's so hard to find time when there's so many good books to read and so much to do outside with the beautiful weather.

She cracks me up. She was so serious when she said it. I love that girl!!

NOBODY'S PINCHING THEM TODAY!!

I figured the only way to get back into blogging is to make a post as if I never stopped and not worry about catching everyone up on everything I haven't posted in the past year or so ( mostly so I won't get overwhelmed). I was reading everyone's blog the other day and I was moved by the beauty of your everyday lives. And that's when it hit me. I think there is a part of me that doesn't really want to record this part of my life. I keep waiting for our struggles to pass and in the process i think I've created this bubble where I'm not letting anyone else in. I don't want to look back and have a huge whole in my life with no memories, especially for the kids. I'm not trying to be a downer, on the contrary I actually want to focus on the ordinary miracles that I experience a lot more that I take the chance to even recognize. So here goes...

We had fun with St. Patrick's day this morning. The leprechauns came to our house. They made plenty of messes and even turned our toilet water green. Bayley worked hard last night on a leprechaun trap. She was excited to see that this morning she had captured one, but it got away!! He had to squeeze through a small slit in the top and in the process his pants got stuck, so now Bayley has real life leprechaun pants.
