ISAAC

Isaac has definitely turned a corner in the past few months. He has been so much fun. He really has grown up so much and is in a wonderful stage. That being said I am doing an entry just on him. Enjoy...

Isaac woke up one day last week with a stuffy nose and insisted that he was really sick and had to stay home from school. Knowing that he really wasn't sick I told him he could stay home as long as he rested the whole day in his room. He did really good and stayed in his bedroom all morning, then at lunchtime I had him come down and eat some soup I had made. I told him that it was really important that he eat his soup because it would make him feel better. So, he ate a couple of bits and looked at me and said, "Wow, I feel totally better. Thanks mom!" It was so funny because he was trying so hard to think of a way not to go back to his bedroom and I think it made him so excited when I gave him a way out.

Isaac really is the incredible hulk!!!

Isaac being the big brother.

Glenn seems to be the favorite one right now. Isaac tells me that daddy is his buddy but I can maybe be his buddy tomorrow. He has said that for a month straight now.

We went to a Brewers game which he was so excited to be at until he realized he wasn't going to get to play. But he still loved it.

He is also Spider-man!

His first day of school. He did so good. If you would have told me a year ago that he would go to school without any reservation and without me and love it, I would have laughed. Luckily he has outgrown being clingy.

This past week has been filled with the Harris brothers. It started with Andy and Trisha who by the way, just got engaged right before they got here, and were passing thru on their way back to Utah from Tennessee. Trisha was only here for a couple of days, but it was a lot of fun. We went down to Chicago one day and just walked around. The picture below is of this crazy mirror like sculpture reflecting the city scape. It was really cool.

The next day we all went to the Milwaukee Zoo. It was perfect for Glenn and Andy who feel right at home with the monkeys. Despite the clouds of Mosquitoes that were following us, we had a good time.

On Monday as Trisha's plane took off Bob's plane landed . The rest of the week consisted of staying up late, sleeping in (for Andy and Bob), golfing and playing pool. We all were glad they came out and had a lot of fun, but Bayley was the only one to cry when they left!!!

cell phones and water don't mix

Before starting this story you have to know that the last 2 cell phones (no make it 3) I've had were ruined by water - the first was by Bayley sucking on it when she was a baby, the second was ruined by a bottle that spilled right next to my phone in my diaper bag and and the list goes on. So I was in the kitchen tonight making dinner when I looked over and saw Isaac with my old cell phone. He had it on the table with a glass of water in his hand that he was about to pour on it. I quickly stopped him and told him that he shouldn't do that. He looked at me so seriously and said, "but you put water on them." It was so funny.

Good old summertime...

Here some pictures of the family keeping busy.

We've spent the week trying to enjoy the out doors despite the high temperatures with 100 % humidity. We spent some time at the pool, the park, the zoo and went on a few bike rides.

Noah crawling

He's in the army now!

Noah figured out how to be mobile a few weeks ago and is now a pro at the army crawl. He can get just about anywhere. We now have to constantly comb the carpet for tiny objects because his mouth seems to be a magnet for small and obscure things. If it's on the ground he'll find it.

face painting

It's too hot to play outside today, so we had to be creative. Here's a picture of the 3 of us after we painted each others faces.
